Synergy back pack January 6, 2009 It was exactly what my grandson wanted for college. He needed one to carry his computer. Arrived in GREAT shape and on time. Everything he wanted. Thanks.
Durable and Comfortable December 23, 2008 I purchased an earlier version of this back about 3 years ago. At the time, I thought this is "a lot of money" for a computer backpack. I looked hard, but nothing else had the same feature set so I purchased the backpack. It took some getting used to since there are many compartments and sometimes I would have to sort through them all to find an item, but I got used to it. I prefer the ability to balance the weight in these compartments versus a single large interior pocket. I also like the kangaroo pouch for fast access on this particular model.
This backpack has been with me all over the world and it goes almost everywhere I go. At this time, I'm using public transportation and I carry quite a bit in it from spare batteries to printed materials, water, pens, and other misc. equipment. I find the bag is comfortable and it has protected my equipment very well. It works reasonably well in hot weather and the air does circulate to your back. It also offers protection from rain common where we now live.
Another feature I like is the ability to use climber's clips to secure umbrellas and water bottles to the bag and prevent their loss.
If you really load this pack, it can pull the zippers open on the main compartment. Even so, I've never had anything fall out. I use a small snap swivel to hold the zipper closed when carrying a lot.
I agree with some of the other posts, that this bag is not at the height of style for business use. However, they are becoming more popular and accepted in business venues. A style upgrade would be nice, but in my travels, I'm comfortable with this backpack for over 80% of my contacts. I keep another bag for the hi-profile visits, but its much less comfortable and convenient.
After so many miles I'm wearing out the materials on the bottom corners of my pack. Its still functional, but no longer suitable for buiness use. I will likely purchase this or something similar from Wenger.
Great travel bag December 8, 2008 I have read the review that stated a 15.4 inch laptop will not properly fit into the laptop slot. A further respoce has been provided.
I use this bag for internation travel all the time. My Dell M65 with a 15.4" WSXGA Widescreen (1680x1050) has NO problem fitting into the slot, in fact, it is like the bag is made for this size computer.
On my travels, I often need to remove my laptop several times a day for security and it easily slides in every time. I also have tons of room for the power supply, external drive, wireless mouse, headhones, ect to the point that I tend to put TOO much stuff into it to the point that the bag gets too wide. Overstulling has resulted in the grommets on the face getting caught on the overhead big and getting pulled off.
Otherwisw, love the bag.
Great stuff to own! November 11, 2008 I have purchased this item twice in different occasion, the first time was for me, then my friend liked it and asked me to get one for him too. It's a great bag and very useful when traveling and hiking! I would recommend it for any laptop onwer or frequent travelers.
