Product Description Many hotels provide just one towel for your entire stay. Don 't even ask about overnight trains. These ultra-soft, super-absorbant microfiber towels stand up to vigorous hand wringing, washing machines and dryers. Dry your body, wrap your hair, wick moisture from freshly hand-washed items, or make a mini picnic blanket with these versatile towels. And since they tuck into their own 6 x 9 or 7 x 10 wet-dry carrying pouch, and weigh only ounces, there 's no reason not to carry one with you everywhere.

Good travel towel January 3, 2009 I bought this towel for my backpacking trip to Europe. It takes a while to get used to the material, but it does the job and folds up nice and small. It is nice to have because you can easily throw it in a bag, just in case you need an extra towel. The towel wicks water well and comes in a convenient travel bag that can also hold a wash cloth, travel shampoo and conditioner, etc.
travel towel December 24, 2008 This towel is really nice, but I would not order from this company again. After ordering, I didn't hear from them for weeks. When I called customer service, they told me they didn't carry the item anymore. Then the service representative said she would call me back in an hour, and see if there was a comparable product they could replace it with. After not hearing from her for two hours, I called her back, and she said she had no recollection of our conversation!! But miraculously, she was now able to find my order number, so I could track it on the UPS website. I was not happy at all with their service.
compact, convenient, does its job! October 24, 2007 I took this towel backpacking for 3 months and it was great. It's very compact, but folds out into a sufficiently large towel for my 5'8" frame. I especially liked the mesh bag it comes with because it could hold most (I would have preferred the bag to be slightly larger) my shower essentials neatly, so I could just grab the bag and run to the showers, without worrying that I've forgotten something. My travel-mate was quite jealous of my bag actually, so I gave it to her before returning home.
I didn't give it 5 stars because 1) it didn't have the greatest smell (although that might have been because I couldn't wash it every day like I would have liked) 2) it wasn't soft at all 3) after 2 months of using and washing, it randomly dyed a couple of my white shirts green (although that's my fault since I should have been more careful and separated my lights/darks, but come on, I was backpacking on a budget and I thought after 2 months, it wouldn't bleed anymore)
But overall, very satisfied with my purchase!
Great product! July 2, 2007 This towel was great, especially since it was so small and allowed me to pack even more stuff for my vacation. I had never tried a Rick Steves product before I bought this, the money belt, and the toiletries case for my last trip. I loved all three and have begun recommending Rick Steves products to everyone. This is a well-made product, and I loved the fact that it came in a little case that made it even better for travelling.
This Towel Surpasses All Towels June 25, 2007 I went backpacking through Europe and the towel lasted for 18 days before going sour. I thought about washing it, but I was good to go. The texture is similiar to that of a chamois cloth, so patting yourself dry is the best bet. It drys within about an hour to two, dependent upon how much water is absorbed. I generally took showers at night and hung it out to dry, but for those morning showers and days I was on the move, the loop at the corner of the towel is excellent to latch on to the pack and air dry as you walk. Great towel for travelers and backpackers alike.
