I bought a $30 backpack from Office Depot for my son at the beginning of the school year. It was completely wrecked within 2 months! I bought this one based on the review by another consumer who said it was still going strong after a year. My son's been using it for almost a month now, and the difference is night and day! The wheels and the bottom platform keep the bottom of the pack from ever touching the ground, so the fabric doesn't get ripped. The handle is connected to the pack by two rods, spread several inches apart, which keeps it from flipping and turning unexpectedly and getting dragged along the ground. (The previous backpack had a single, telescoping rod with a hand grip at the top.) It looks brand new, which can rarely be said for any possession of an 11-yr-old boy.

This backpack is the best one my daughter has ever had! We have already gone thru 2 other backpacks this year alone which both ended up in the garbage about a month after purchase. This design is very smart! Having the wheels be below the case with 2 front legs so nothing can drag on the ground when it's being wheeled is very smart. It's very roomy and has a few extra compartments for pens/pencils, a water bottle and any other small things they need for school. I'm very happy with this backpack and would definitely buy it again! Great value for the money!

This backpack is very, very good.
PROS:
Wheeles are sturdy
Space for lots of things
Can be used as a backpack in your back, with a protective cover for the wheels (and your back)
Pockets in the sides and one in the front
Clip for key
CONS:
Does not have a space for CD player or MP3 player
Does not have space for pens, calculator or cell phone, and other utensils.
I would have given it 5 star rating if it wasn't for those two things which in today's world are necessities.
