Just returned from Africa where I took this bag on ten flights totaling about 20,000 miles. For my needs it was great.
The bag looks a little small, and is not well suited to carrying a lot of clothes. It is, however, very strong and well thought-out. I puzzled over its unusual shape until I saw a flight attendant put it in an overhead rack-it fit perfectly!
It has great pockets to hold cell phones, water bottles, pens business cards, etc. It will hold all the medications for a long trip, a change of underwear, a sweater, in-flight snacks, papers, tickets, a small camera and have room left over.
The wheels and handle might seem unnecessary until you need to transfer from the international to domestic terminals. Then it's great, particularly since you can put your companion's carry-on over the handle and get double good out of the wheels.
It has an envelope for a laptop, which I didn't use, but it looks practical.
The only thing that my trip did to the bag was get the wheels a little dusty.
