When the next size up is a bit too big, using stretchers to ease out the tight spot for your own foot is a great solution! Bought these for my husband (because the right size shoe has the arch support in exactly the right place).

With the holes and plugs, custom fit a shoe just right. We debated spending so much more for the boot version, rather than the shoe. The long handle really does make a difference in ease of use, inserting the form into the boot.
