Great Design Very Poor Craftsmanship October 30, 2008 [...] I had great expectations for this bag's great design. But when it comes to quality of parts I was very disappointed. Below is a list of unexpected things that made me feel that way:
- After opening the plastic bag the room filled with the worst cigarette smoke smell. - I moved my computer and accessories to my new bag. Next time I took it out a scratch showed up on my computer. - The zipper on the outside pocket came apart. - The the main compartment flap locket fell off.
I called the seller and they offered a money back return but by the time you ship it back I would expend about $15 in shipping cost. So I'm trying to find parts to replace and revamp the bag. It is a great design it is too bad that part were so cheap. I guess you get what you pay for.
Pretty good bag for the price September 7, 2008 Some people have commented on the fastening clasp on the front flap. I agree that it is a "danger" point in terms of eventual failure. It is difficult to close at the outset so I have avoided doing that whenever possible. Other than that I like the bag a lot. I needed something with enough structure to carry 8" x 10" inch photographs without worrying about crumpled edges and there are two good places to do this with this bag so I'm satisfied. It also looks good with the brown/gold Battlestar Galactica patch that I glued to the front flap.
sweet May 30, 2008 this is a great bag...a little on the heavy side, yeah, but i feel like that fabric is really durable so it will last a while (hopefully). anyway, it has lots of little pockets, and fits my 15" macbook pro no problem. well worth it.
Just What I Needed! April 5, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought my bag in Feb. 08, and I am very satisfied with my purchase. The bag is everything the seller said it was. It is made from a heavy-grade type of canvas and is built to last a long time. This bag is definitely tough enough for military use, and I know because I was in the US Army. It has a main compartment that is large enough for all sorts of stuff. The bag has many assorted pockets for my maps, pens, tickets, cellphone, and much more, plus there's plenty of room for souvenirs. I can't wait to get some patches and pins on it from the travels I plan. This bag was made 'tough-enough' for the urban backpack traveler. I think it's a pretty good deal!
GREAT BAG April 5, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
BUY IT, BUY IT, BUY IT..........I bought this for my husband and he LOVES it. If you read all of the detailed reviews you will get a VERY accurate idea of the bag. Well worth the money.
