Great Buy September 4, 2008 This backpacks fit and finish are top quality, and you can't beat the price. I use this for riding on my scooter and it works perfectly. Lots of storage space for a smaller sized bag, and the straps adjust well to hone in a comfortable fit. I especially like the strap clips on the belt that keep the excess strap from flapping around all willy-nilly. I searched for weeks for a backpack under $30 and none matched up to this one. No regrets with my purchase. The free delivery did take a while longer than expected, but there was a three-day weekend and a hurricane that played a factor in that.
Kind of disappointed August 28, 2008 My current backpack of choice is a High Sierra single strap backpack. I got this one since I thought it would be the same as my other backpack, but have two straps. There are a couple things that sadly are not the same. The main compartment doesn't have a padded divider. Since I use my backpack mostly to carry around my laptop, a padded divider would have been a HUGE plus. The second thing is that the compartment meant for your iPod (or other mp3 player of your choice) is the same plasticy fabric that lines rest of the backpack. In my single strap High Sierra, it had soft fabric for that compartment which definitely prevented scratching. The yolk at the top between the two straps is uncomfortable. I can feel it pressing against my back. Maybe I just haven't adjusted it correctly yet. Those things aside, it still has the same high quality construction and has plenty of room. Maybe once I break it in a bit more I'll be happier with it.
Not what I thought it would be August 1, 2008 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
Was excited to get this backpack in red at such a great price. Turned out not be to what I expected. I see that there are pics now that clearly show the back/straps. There weren't any when I bought it. The back felt and looked like the bottom of a tent and I knew the moment I saw it that it would heat up. (A big deal in Arizona where it's 104 in the shade.) Was expecting some breathability, like other High Sierra's I've seen. Guess you get what you pay for. And just to make it an all around pleasant shopping experience (sarcasm), Amazon charged me for the return. Apparently it's a new policy that if you don't like the item, you pay.

Good quality, well stitched. i use it to carry quite a bit of weight and it holds up well.
Great pack July 10, 2008 Great backpack, but no chest strap - bummer. I like it a lot so far, but can say nothing about it's durability because mine's brand new.
