5 out of 5 stars NOT #7!!   September 18, 2008
Just an FYI--This lunchbag is NOT polycarbonate, #7 plastics, as a previous reviewer said! This lunchbag is polypropylene (#5) so it is BPA free and safe to use. So go ahead and buy it!

3 out of 5 stars Cutre but not very functional   September 1, 2008
Yes, this product is very cute - it's a great idea. However - I dont think it was designed very well. I purchased this for my daughter to bring school lunches, she is 8. There isn't enough room to fit a full lunch for a child - sandwich, drink, 2 snacks. There isnt much of a strap to hold onto for her to carry it - making it cumbersome. The unzipping of it kind of makes it so you have to jimmy it around quite a bit, forcing the food inside the bag to be thrown around. It's hard for her to re-zip when she is done eating. All in all - she isnt crazy about this lunch bag and I wouldnt recommend it to other parents. Great idea but doesnt fit the bill.

2 out of 5 stars #7 plastic, too small, hard for child to open & close   August 31, 2008

This lunch bag is made of #7 plastic (apparently the one we should be avoiding) and it is too small to hold an average size lunch. Also, my children are 3 and 5 and it was hard for them to open & close the zippers on the bags. I returned the items. Cute, but not functional.

5 out of 5 stars Light-weight, cute and functional lunch bag   August 15, 2008
My daughter, who is 8, chose the pink panda. You can see from the photos that all 4 styles of this bag are cute. I was worried that it wouldn't be big enough for my daughter's lunch, but the insulating material it is made of is thin and light-weight. My daughter normally takes a chocolate milk box, a sliced apple, a peanut butter sandwich, and a few chips for lunch. All of this, along with a small ice-pack, fit in here, no problem. What is even better is that once the thing is empty, it easily squishes flat to go back into her backpack. This probably isn't a great choice for a kid who eats a larger lunch (like my 10 year old son), but it's great for a normal-sized lunch! Also cool is the fact that this unzips into a placemat. I work at my kids' school, and sometimes visit with them at lunch. I am often horrified to see my daughter eating right off the cafeteria table. (I know they only get wiped down a bit in between classes.) This bag is a great solution to this problem, especially since it's easy to clean. Over all, I am very happy with this product.

5 out of 5 stars Cute!   August 8, 2008
Very cute bag! My 9 year old loves it. It will pack a sandwich, boxed juice and a snack or two just fine. A thermos (funtainer) and a boxed juice fits snug. A big eater might have trouble fitting alot into it, though. Definitely great for a little kid, or a cutie 9 year old like mine!
